Each year SA Great with the support of the Government of South Australia, recognises inspirational South Australians who have made a significant contribution to our state over the past 12 months through this prestigious Awards program.
The 2007 South Australian of the Year Awards were presented at a black tie gala dinner on November 28 at the Hyatt.
The 2007 South Australian of the Year and Young South Australian of the Year Awards were presented by His Excellency the Governor, Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AO CSC RANR.
The Premier of South Australia, the Hon Mike Rann presented the South Australian of the Year Awards categories: Arts, Business, Community, Education, Environment, Health, Science & Technology, Sport and Tourism.
Selected from both peer and public nominations, the Awards celebrate and profile individuals or organisations who have demonstrated a consistent record of excellence and outstanding achievement in their field of expertise, and who can be regarded as role models for other South Australians.
