Regional Awards Judging
Judging
Selection committees are set up in each region to judge the entries that are received for the Regional Awards. These committees are chaired by SA Great board members and staff and include local representatives from councils, Regional Development Boards, businesses and organisations.
Each judge has an excellent knowledge of local activities and businesses and is given strict criteria to assist with fair and equitable decision-making on choosing a winner in each category. At times, when a category is particularly competitive, the judges may choose to acknowledge an entrant by giving it a 'Commendation'. Both winners and commendations are announced at the Awards Presentation functions in each region in October and November.
The judges' decisions are final and no further correspondence will be entered into after their meetings.
