Highlights from 2008 SA Great Annual Dinner

The 2008 SA Great Annual Dinner sold out with more than 800 tickets snapped up by proud South Australians. Guests were treated to an action-packed night of entertainment celebrating the ‘Heart of South Australia’.

ENTERTAINMENT:

Guests enjoyed performances by singing sensation Grace Bawden, shoe designer Mary Kyri and a one off ‘fly in’ performance by aerial artist Rachel Bowman.

The 2008 dinner also featured performances by Australian Dance Theatre, Drum Corp and a violin recital from the 2007 Young South Australian of the Year winner, Niki Vasilakis. The night finished off with a set from local, 13-piece super band, Supernova.

FOOD AND WINE:

To compliment a delicious three-course dinner, guests also enjoyed wine supplied by Grant Burge, Coffin Bay Oysters and Ferguson Australia’s seafood – all a true testament to our state’s magnificent food and wine industries.

Guests were also able to visit the Cibo and Cocolat stands to enjoy some local treats at the end of the evening.

The 2008 Annual Dinner was sponsored by EXCEL and hosted by former SA Great Chairman Mark Bickley. SA Great showcased exactly what it means to be South Australian with visual footage of local people, destinations, icons and industries on the big screens.
