Out of State Program
The Out of State program aims to communicate with younger South Australian’s out of the state, connecting with their head and their hearts, informing them of the opportunities in South Australia and reminding them of the joys and pleasures of our state.
Interstate Events
And should now read: As part of the program, in 2007 SA Great held three widely successful interstate events for ex-pats in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. As a result of their popularity these events will again be held in 2008 and all are expected to be bigger and better. The events provide ex-pats with the perfect opportunity to get together and meet other South Australians, whilst enjoying South Australian food and beverages and a great game of football featuring the two South Australian teams.
But they’re not all about the footy. The events feature plenty of other South Australian delights to keep the crowds happy including some great prizes, showbags full of SA goodies and a fabulous selection of South Australian produce including Coopers beer, Vili's pies and pasties, plus Balfours frog cakes, FruChocs, Farmers Union Iced Coffee, Nippy’s orange juice and kitchener buns to keep the sweet tooth nostalgics happy.
The out of state events are a great opportunity to connect with younger expats in a friendly and relaxed environment, and SA Great plans to hold more in the future.

SA Great is committed to the attraction and retention of younger South Australians and the Out of State program is an important initiative to profile the fantastic opportunities our state has to offer as a great place to live, work and play - and inform those who have left the benefits of coming back.
Working together with the South Australian University Alumni groups and Government Departments, the aim of the interstate events are to build on the database of contacts living out of the state and keep in touch with them through the website that SA Great launched early last year -www.YourSA.com.au
YourSA.com.au is targeted at South Australians living out of the state and features developments and great news coming out of South Australia, plus interviews, opportunities and job prospects - just to name a few. The website aims to keep ex-pats up to date with developments in South Australia and make sure they have the right information to act as great ambassadors for our state. It is a one-stop shop to keep ex-pats up to date with what’s happening in this state.
SA Great also sends all people on our ‘Out of State’ database a quarterly email keeping everybody up to date with all the great things going on inside South Australia, the email also includes a ‘snapshot’ of the YourSA website.
The Out of State program is just one of the ways SA Great will ensure with in partnership with other organisations, that every South Australian is a proud ambassador for our state. This is an exciting initiative and the benefits will be far reaching for our state.
