Speakers in Schools
exposesa with the support of the Government of South Australia implemented the Speakers in Schools program in late 2005. This program provides at no cost to schools, speakers from a diverse range of careers and backgrounds. Thanks to the support of principal partner BHP Billiton, the program is now expanding to include schools in regional South Australia.
The aim of the program is to provide students with information on opportunities for careers in South Australia inspiring them about the benefits of living and working in this state. The program is aimed at secondary and upper primary schools.
Speakers are provided with training through forums. Training includes presentation skills, labour market information etc. These forums also provide a networking opportunity for the young achievers.
